Hey, everyone! Believe it or not, October has come and gone, and November is upon us at last 🙂 And we have had some fantastic baking going on here! Let’s take a little stroll down (recent) memory lane…
This month was filled with delicious banana-baking as we tackled Banana Chocolate Chip Cinnamon Rolls and Healthy Double Chocolate Muffins– the latter of which are a twist on our Banana Bread Mini Muffins. This stuff is… well, bananas! Just look at these drool-worthy photos!
We also got to experience cookies in TWO different forms! First, Edible Cookie Dough! No raw egg, so no risk of salmonella, but 100% risk of becoming totally addicted. It definitely pairs well with a night on the couch and a good movie 😉
And now it’s time to get excited for what November has to offer. And what exactly can we look forward to? Warm, filling recipes that will keep you cozy as the cold creeps up on us. We have some savory foods coming up, simple snacks, more cookies (of course), and a special treat for Thanksgiving- my absolute favorite thing to make when the holidays roll around.
For me, this month I got to go home for the long weekend and see my family and friends from home. It’s tough living almost 1,000 miles away from home, but little visits like these are always cherished. I went apple picking with one of my best friends, tested out 3 (!!) apple-centered recipes, and watched tons of movies with my mom. Now I’m just counting down the days until I get to go home for Christmas (38!!!!!)
Coming up: I have a class schedule to finalize, exams to prepare for, and another chat with my advisor about what to do with the rest of my life. So, nothing too big (nervous smile) 😀
